An introduction to the Finger Lakes Region for those who are not familiar with it and a collective reference for those who already know the area. This book provides an overview of the six major Finger Lakes: Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga, Owasko and Skanateles.

    This book is the first in a series of books about the region, written by Emerson Klees.  It has three sections:

• A prologue with some of the early history of the region.
  
• The body of the book about things to do and places to see in the region, including biographical sketches of Finger Lakes people.
  
• An epilogue with brief comments on conservation.
