People of the Finger Lakes Region: Heart of New York State is a collection of biographical sketches of people from the Finger Lakes Region.

    This book contains sixty biographical sketches of people who were either born in the Finger Lakes Region, spent some of their formative years in the area, or distinguished themselves while living in the region. There are ten profiles in each of six categories:

       Entrepreneurs/Industrialists
       Organizers/Notables
       Philanthropists/Statesmen
       Leaders/Visionaries
       Engineers/Change Agents

    The Prologue provides an overview of the early history of the region.
