Get ready for GrassRoots!!

Discover a music lover’s paradise this weekend at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds in charming Trumansburg, New York.  The Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance presents over 60 bands gathering on four stages over four days (July 19-22) to create an experience not to be missed!

Years ago, the GrassRoots tradition began as a benefit concert for a local AIDS support organization called AIDSwork at the State Theater in Ithaca, New York, featuring Donna the Buffalo, The Horse Flies, and Neon Baptist.  The successful event inspired members of Donna the Buffalo to create a festival that would continue to raise money for the fight against AIDS and other worthy causes, provide regional and national exposure for excellent local musicians, and expose the local and regional music lovers to excellent national and international artists.  The idea proved to be success and has since grown into a nationally recognized event, focusing on traditional and contemporary roots music.

It’s not too late–tickets are still available at the gate!
