Berta’s Cafe–a Finger Lakes Gem in Burdett!

Whether you are heading for a hike on the Finger Lakes Trail, plan to visit the Finger Lakes National Forest, are making your way up the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, or are passing through Burdett on your way to Watkins Glen or Ithaca, do yourself a favor and visit Berta on your way.

Berta'sCafe_CounterThat is,  Berta’s Cafe on Main Street in Burdett–yet another Finger Lakes gem for a sweet breakfast outing or a truly lovely lunch.

Stop in for a quick cup of coffee and a warm buttermilk biscuit–(ask for it grilled with black raspberry or strawberry jam!).

Relax on the patio in the sun on a warm spring afternoon with a hot scone, biscuit, or muffin.

Better yet, settle in for breakfast by the wood stove on a chilly Sunday morning for live piano in the charming dining room.

Order an omelet, breakfast taco, French Toast, or fabulous buttermilk or blueberry pancakes, or go simple with a big bowl of Berta’s delightfully homemade granola served over Ithaca Yogurt.

Berta'sCafeCatch Berta for lunch between 11 and 2 for tasty tacos, burgers, BLTs, a big salad, or grilled cheese on country bread, or scope out the specials for fun alternatives.

Almost everything on the menu is prepared from scratch on site, using fresh organic produce from local farms whenever possible.  Best of all, Berta and her staff never fail to serve with a smile.

Another Finger Lakes gem to add to your list of to-visits!

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 7AM-2PM.
