Built in 1910 as a residential estate and then briefly a monastery, the property opened its doors to the public on Thanksgiving Day in 1981. It has earned the coveted AAA Four-Diamond Award for the past 35 years.

Today the historic villa offers 29 Stickley appointed guest suites and studios with kitchen, some with lake views, wood-burning fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, and cathedral ceilings.  Two-story townhouses situated 25 feet from the main villa provide private lakeside patios and two bedrooms.
