CROSS COUNTRY SKIING TRAILS IN THE FINGER LAKES

Below are some of the popular skiing trails in the region. Make sure to check them out before you visit to confirm hours, etc.

 

• Letchworth State Park – Miles and miles of excellent cross country skiing

• Rattlesnake Hill Wildlife Management Area • Canadice Lake Trail – 6 mile trail along the shore of Canadice Lake.

• Sidewinder Trail Loop – 3.5 mile trail located in the Harriet Hollister Spencer Memorial Park

• Cumming Nature Center trail

• Lehigh Valley Trail

• Hi Tor Wildlife Management Area

• Mossy Bank Park – 3.2 mile trail just north of Bath, NY with spectacular views.

• Keuka Lake State Park – 7 mile trail winding through the State Park.

• Keuka Lake Outlet Trail 

• Sampson State Park

• Finger Lakes National Forest Trail – 30.5 miles of trails through the back woods of the Finger Lakes National Forest.

• Tanglewood Nature Center – 7 miles of trail through meadow, scrubland and woods between Horseheads and Elmira.

• Connecticut Hill – 12 miles of trail starting in Newfield and traversing the only covered bridge still in use in NY State.

• Cayuga Nature Center trail 

• South Hill Recreation trail – 3.3 miles of trail running alongside Ithaca’s South Hill.

• Bear Swamp State Forest 

• Hammond Hill State Forest 

• Dryden Lake Park Trail – 8.2 mile trail alongside Dryden Lake in Dryden, NY.

• Yellow Barn State Forest
