There is no such thing as out of season in the Finger Lakes. Whether leaves are changing, snow is falling, buds are blooming, or the warm sun is sparkling on the lakes, there are glasses being raised in celebration all over the region--and Finger Lakes festivities for everyone in the family!

May 2013 Events

MAY 29-31, 2013
Ithaca Festival, Ithaca, NY

Celebrate all that is Ithaca with over 1,000 talented local musicians, painters, dancers, clowns, community groups, and ensembles that will perform during this year’s Ithaca Festival, a four-day celebration of community, music, and the arts.  This year’s festival will emphasize “Where the Heart Is” through new special events and programming that showcase the stories, people, food, wine, and more, that make Ithaca unique.  Kick off this year’s festival with the Ithaca Parade on Wednesday, May 29^th, get a taste of the Finger Lakes at the local Food and Wine Showcase downtown on Thursday May 30^th, and spend the weekend enjoying multiple stages of entertainment, a special kid’s activity area, a sustainability expo, a craft show, and delicious festival food at various locations.

Paws & Pairings
Heron Hill Winery, Hammondsport, NY

Taste delicious barbecue and grilled foods, this year prepared creatively with the award-winning flavors of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que sauces, rubs, and marinades.
From Riesling to Cabernet Franc, join us for the 11th year of this popular event to have fun exploring how well wine can pair with mouth-watering barbecue and summer side dishes. Early summer is a beautiful time to visit Keuka Lake and enjoy each of the winery’s own spectacular views.

Wineries are abuzz with energy during harvest – it’s a fun time to learn from tasting room staff and to enjoy a first sip of recently released wines.

Ring in the holiday season at one of our Keuka Holidays weekends…every year a sell-out! Each winery offers tastes of their finest wines complemented small plates of hearty winter foods. Ticket holders receive a handmade grapevine wreath at their starting winery and collect an ornament at each winery. The wineries will be alive with holiday decorations and cheer, and gift shops stocked with unique and locally crafted items perfect for holiday gift-giving.

2013 is the 22nd annual Deck the Halls Weekend on Seneca Lake Wine Trail! Go to your assigned starting winery and begin a weekend of fun and festivities while sampling holiday wines and food tastings. The wineries are decorated for the holiday season. Over the 2-1/2 day weekend event, visit the participating wineries and enjoy a weekend of fun and relaxation.  Each ticket includes a grapevine wreath and recipe book to be picked up at your starting winery, then enjoy decorating your Christmas wreath with a unique ornament from each winery that you visit.  Each person receives a food and wine pairing at each participating winery. With the recipe book you will be able repeat the delectable wine/food combinations at home, introducing your friends and family to the pairings you most enjoyed!\

20^th Annual Holiday Shopping Spree

Experience the scents and sights of the Holidays at the 20th Annual Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Holiday Shopping Spree.  Visit all 16 wineries, and take home one souvenir wineglass per person, one grapevine wreath. unique ornaments from each winery, a shopper's card for $5.00 off a $35.00 wine purchase at each winery, and holiday recipes.
