Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen
Watkin
s Glen, New York

A tradition since 1993, the Grand Prix Festival brings more than 600 classic sports cars to the village of Watkins Glen.  Enjoy live music, wine tastings, food courts, children’s activities, and fireworks at dusk.  This year, attend the Walk of Fame Award Ceremony featuring former drivers, the "The Legends Speak" lecture about the Can-Am racing days in the late 1960s through the 1980s, the Tech Inspection at Smalley's Garage, site of the first pre-race Tech Inspection in 1948, and more!  Participation in the festival is open to anyone with a qualifying vehicle.  Contact Watkins Glen International for more information.

Crystal City Harvest Music Festival

Corning, New York

Kick off Corning's Harvest Music Festival with the wildly popular Finger Lakes wine and craft beer tasting and a concert in Centerway Square.  Festivities continue Saturday, September 17th, with the Corning Farmers Market, local food and craft vendors, children's activities, tractor displays, shopping and dining incentives, and a concert in Centerway Square.

3rd Annual Crooked Creek Hops Farm Harvest Brew Festival
Addison, New  York

A celebration of the New York State hops industry, featuring BBQ, beer, and music, presentations on picking, harvesting and drying hops, farm tours, home brew contests, beer, wine, and cider tastings, and more!  Enjoy this family friend festival for all ages!

There is nothing quite like harvest time in the Finger Lakes!  Come and taste the fine wines of Keuka Lake paired with delicious dishes prepared with fresh fall Finger Lakes produce.  Fall is a fun time to learn from tasting room staff, and enjoy a first sip of recently released wines.

Naples Grape Festival
Naples High School Grounds, Naples, New York

Since 1961, tens of thousands of visitors have flocked to the small village of Naples, New York, to celebrate the grape harvest in the Finger Lakes. The festival features a juried art show, wine tasting, "the Worlds Greatest Grape Pie" contest, live original music, a variety of food, and everything grape, including pies, breads, jams, ice cream, kuchens, juice, grapes and more! 

 

October 2016 Events

OCTOBER 2, 2016
35th Annual Wineglass Marathon
Corning, New York

Whether you are a runner, walker, wheeler,  or spectator, you will find inspiration and excitement on the streets of Corning's Historic Gaffer District at the 35th Annual Wineglass Marathon event.  The Wineglass Marathon offers a variety of races for all levels of runners, including the full marathon, the half marathon, and the Corelle 5K on Saturday, October 1, 2016.  These races fill up fast!  If you do not register to run, head to beautiful downtown Corning anyway to join in the excitement and cheer on the athletes as they cross the finish line.

Embrace your holiday shopping as you browse, taste, sip, and shop at the wineries along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail!  Get your shopping done, enjoy tastings of fine regional wines paired with holiday-inspired dishes, take home a shopper's discount card, and collect a wine glass, a grapevine wreath, an ornament, and recipes from the wineries along the way.

Deck the Halls Weekend
Seneca Lake Wine Trail

Celebrate the season with a fun-filled day on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, tasting holiday wines paired with festive foods in wineries decked out in their holiday best. Ticket holders will receive a recipe book, a grapevine wreath, and ornaments from each winery along the way.

23rd Annual Dickens Christmas

Skaneateles, New York

Step back in time, and enjoy the holidays the old-fashioned way with Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles.  The celebration begins the day after Thanksgiving and runs every Saturday and Sunday through December 24th from noon to 4 pm. Charles Dickens and his cast of over 50 characters will interact with residents and visitors in the streets, stores and restaurants. Don't miss lively acts at the Library (and Mother Goose too!), live music, unique shopping, wonderful food and horse and wagon rides around the Village.

Ithaca Winter Festival 2016
Ithaca High School, Ithaca, New York

Celebrate winter's arrival in Ithaca with events and entertainment each day through mid-December, including Santa's arrival in downtown Ithaca, Santa and Gingerbread Crafts, an Evening of Fire and Ice at the Ice Bar, Ice Wars Ice Carving Competition, the Annual Chowder Cook-off & Wine and Cheese Expo, and a Winter Artist's Market.
