KEUKA LAKE OUTLET TRAIL

The Keuka Outlet Trail is a scenic seven-mile trail that runs from the town of Penn Yan in the West (Keuka Lake) to Dresden in the East (Seneca Lake). The trail is built on old railroad track beds that were originally built along a towpath. Offering plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, and cross-country skiing, the trail even allows horseback riding, which is a rarity in the region. You are welcome to ride your snowmobile as well! Featuring waterfalls, historic buildings, and clearly marked trails, the Keuka Outlet Trail follows the shores of the Keuka Outlet Creek.

The trail is maintained by The Friends of the Outlet, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to preserving and developing properties along the span of the creek and its surrounding areas. Their mission is to “provide an area for natural, physical, outdoor, and historic-oriented recreation and education” for both permanent residents and visitors of the region.
