Located in the town of Branchport, near the northern tip of the west branch of Keuka Lake
In 1902, the Hunt Family planted their first vineyard in the Finger Lakes – and more than 100 years later the tradition continues with their wide variety of excellent wines.
In 1981 the family began to produce their own wine and today are the longest producers of Ice Wine in the United States.
Hunt Country is dedicated to sustainable practices – they have installed an award-winning geothermal heat exchange system to heat and cool their buildings, they’ve installed over 300 solar panels that provide most of the electricity used by the farm and winery, and they have part of their acreage certified organic. Today they are focused on the future of the farm and caring for the soil, water, and air.
Hunt has several live music events, festivals, and trail races during the warmer months. Classes and workshops are also available. Check their events page to see what’s coming up.
