The 2024 eclipse in the Finger Lakes will be on Monday, Apr. 8, 2024 and will begin at approximately 2:05pm and will last until roughly 4:30pm.

 

The length “total eclipse” varies based on location – in Penn Yan it is just 45 seconds, while in Rochester it will be over 3 and a half minutes.

 

5 of the 11 Finger Lakes are entirely within the Path of Totality, while 10 of 11 have some part in the Path of Totality (sorry Otisco – you only make it to 99.6%).
